MOH Update - Data Link - April 1st, 2001

The Ontario Ministry of Health released a Data Link dated April 1, 2001 regarding changes to the physician Schedule of Benefits. The Schedule of Benefits has been revised to provide a 2.0% increase to all professional fees as of April 1, 2001 as per the agreement with the OMA and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

A&L clients that are under maintenance should have received either a disk if you are using A&L Medical Systems DOS, or an e-file via A&L HERO in the second week or third week of March 2001. All clients should follow the accompanying instructions to update thier programs. In the event you did not receive it, please contact us at the A&L Head office.

The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care would have sent out a generic Fee Schedule Update disk during their May or June release of physicians remittance advices. If you have already updated with the A&L file, do not run these disks. Note: Physicians are responsible for updating their systems with any bulletins or notices that MOH sends to them. MOH files sent via disk or e-file does not necessarily contain changes sent out on bulletins or notices.

If you are not under maintenance and you wish to update your program or if you wish to renew your software maintenance, please contact us to make the appropriate arrangements.
