Ensure that you have a 32 Bit Edition Operating System for A&L HERO* (do not confuse this with the processor). Many applications, software, like A&L HERO*, and hardware devices do not work on a 64-bit OS, at this time.

High-Speed Internet Users
A&L HERO EDT can also use your high-speed Internet connection to establish VPN communication for claims subsmissions to the Ministry of Health****. Make sure you have the latest Windows Updates, an updated virus scanning software application and a firewall. Remeber that your Anti-virus software, security applications or Windows Operating System is only as good as its last update. To get complete protection, you must regularly update with the latest virus definition files, scanning engines, patches and fixes.

**** The normal requirement, for A&L HERO EDT, is to have a dial-up modem that is connected and functioning. If high-speed Internet is available, in your area, we can change your EDT connection to a high-speed VPN type configuration in A&L HERO. The connection is dependent on your security settings and if your high-speed connection is via a WAN, hospital network, secure connection or behind an administered firewall, please call us for details.

Microsoft ends support for Windows 98, Windows 98SE and Windows Me (Millenium)
Termed as “end of life” by Microsoft; support officially ended back on July 11, 2006 for Windows 98, 98SE and ME (Millennium), from Microsoft.
